Architecture
Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings or any other structures. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. Historical civilizations are often identified with their surviving architectural achievements.

Louis Sullivan, Kindergarten Chats (1918) Ch. 10 : A Roman Temple

Dieter Scholzel (architect); reported in Friends of Dresden declarations (2003).
Architecture
The civil engineer is the real 19th century architect.
William Burges in: The Ecclesiologist, Vol. 28, 1867, p. 156:

An EU-funded project is boosting Europe's contribution to this on-going international research effort and facilitates the distribution and exploitation of model data.
