Cartography
Cartography (; from Greek χάρτης chartēs, "papyrus, sheet of paper, map"; and γράφειν graphein, "write") is the study and practice of making maps. Combining science, aesthetics, and technique, cartography builds on the premise that reality can be modeled in ways that communicate spatial information effectively.
Geoinformatics
Geoinformatics is the science and the technology which develops and uses information science infrastructure to address the problems of geography, cartography, geosciences and related branches of science and engineering.
Renewable energy resources (RES) such as wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and biomass can significantly offset the world's demand for fossil fuel-derived electricity. A new EU study points the way to expansion of current networks to efficiently integrate RES.
