Aquatic
Aquatic(s) means relating to water; living in or near water or taking place in water; does not include groundwater, as "aquatic" implies an environment where plants and animals live.
Protection
If you are not ready, and did not know what to do, it could hurt you in different ways. It could knock you down, hard, or throw you against a tree or a wall. It is such a big explosion, it can smash in buildings and knock signboards over, and break windows all over town, but if you duck and cover, like Burt [the Turtle], you will be much safer.
From Duck and Cover (1951), about protecting yourself from an atomic explosion.
Protection
Protection is not a principle, but an expedient.
Benjamin Disraeli, Speech in the House of Commons (17 March 1845).
Protection
Neither the Army nor the Navy is of any protection, or very little protection, against aerial raids.
Alexander Graham Bell, As quoted in The Military Quotation Book by James Charlton, p. 37.
Scarcity of fresh water is of growing concern in the Mediterranean area due to urbanisation, irrigation and changing rainfall patterns. The influx of millions of Sun-seeking tourists puts even more pressure on limited water resources during the summer season.
